10 HELPFUL HINTS FOR A BETTER NIGHT'S SLEEP |
** 1. GET YOUR CAFFEINE FIX IN THE EARLY PART OF THE DAY.
** 2. AVOID LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING NAPS.
** 3. TAKE A SOOTHING BATH BEFORE BED.
** 4. AVOID HEAVY MEALS AND ALCOHOL IN THE FEW HOURS LEADING TO BEDTIME.
** 5. USE YOUR BED FOR SLEEPING AND ROMANCE ONLY.
** 6. DON'T LOOK AT THE CLOCK; TRY TO CONCENTRATE ON LETTING YOUR MIND AND BODY RELAX.
** 7. EXERCISE REGULARLY TO RELIEVE DAILY TENSION AND STRESS. (DON'T EXERCISE TOO CLOSE TO BEDTIME, OR YOU MAY GET REVVED UP INSTEAD.)
** 8. AVOID OVERSLEEPING AND LYING IN BED FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME.
** 9. SET ASIDE "WORRY TIME" SOME HOURS BEFORE BEDTIME. DON'T LIE IN BED AND WORRY ABOUT PROBLEMS OR CHALLENGES OF THE NEXT DAY.
** 10.DEVELOP A SLEEP RITUAL. GO TO BED AND WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY. INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.
